The Local History Room is a great place to visit and learn about Georgetown Township  -- when it was first developed, what it used to look like and how it has grown, including information about the people, schools, churches, organizations, and businesses.  Available in the Room are files, books, genealogies, slide shows, and maps full of information and pictures.

The Room is made available by members of the Jenison Historical Association, who are in the room on Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and also by appointment. Here is a place to talk about township history and ask questions. The room is located in the lower level of the Georgetown Library and Township building.  To visit the room, head left past the coffee area and follow the stairs to the lower level. An elevator is located in the Township offices which will take you to the lower level as well.
